Twenty-five year old Erie County Volunteer Firefighter Joe Kruszynski is a recruiting consultant, helping colleges find good candidates and helping good candidates connect with good colleges. He joined the Clarence Center Volunteer Fire Company in the Town of Clarence in May-2012 and graduated from his basic Firefighter 1 training in November-2012.

His brother RJ is a firefighter with the Webster Volunteer Fire Company near Rochester NY.

Here’s his story…

iVolunteerFIRE because:

My community has done so much for me, this is one way of saying thank you. My brother RJ influenced me to join by sharing what an impact we can have on others as well as the feeling you get from saving lives.

One of the things I love the most about being a firefighter so far is the relationships being built with my fellow firefighters and knowing that they will always have my back. They’ve become my second family.

Clarence Center has found themselves a good candidate.

[Editor's Note: "Average" Joe Kruszynski is one of five Erie County Volunteer Firefighters selected to represent their fire service in a series of web, social media, print, radio and video ads promoting iVolunteerFIRE.org!]
